Sri Lanka experiences the biggest tourism boost since April 2021

While COVID-19 and an ongoing economic crisis took a toll on tourism arrivals in Sri Lanka, the country is once again picking up its pace with an increased number of travellers entering its borders. Searching for an authentic Sri Lankan feel, most tourists find refuge in lodgings like Tea and Experience Factory, which offers some of the cosiest Mandaramnuwara rooms to stay in.

As reported on Daily Mirror Online on the 29th of November 2022, November marked the highest tourist arrivals since April, as the country welcomed a total of 51,865 travellers between the 1st and 27th of November. Accounting for 24% of the total arrivals in November, Russian nationals were leading the table. With the country’s recent developments, Sri Lanka remains hope for a flourishing tourism industry in 2023.
