After a long period of lockdown and then a gradual recovery, Sri Lanka is now ready to welcome tourists into the country. Those who wish to visit the island will have to download the visit Sri Lanka app and apply for visa online. Only then will a 3 months visa be issued.
Tourists will also need to follow the specified guidelines set in place to curtail COVID-19. All those arriving from abroad will have to stay at a government-approved Level 1 hotel for 14 days. Guests are welcome to enjoy the facilities Amethyst Resort and other hotels have to offer which include gyms, salons, pools and other activities. Passikudah hotels and other resorts will also ensure that international health and safety standards are met. Once this period of semi-quarantine is completed, tourists will be able to move more freely.
