Sri Lanka Looking to Boost Tourism – Country Participates in SATTE Travel Fair

Sri Lanka is looking to get tourism back on track following the reopening of its international borders and participated in the SATTE travel fair last month; this leading travel and tourism event in South Asia was held from 18th to 20th May 2022 in Delhi-NCR in India and saw over 60 Sri Lankan travel industry members representing the island. It gave them a chance to not only target Indians who are a leading source market for Sri Lanka but international visitors who attended the event as well.

Further emphasising the importance of the Indian market, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau is also planning to host three roadshows this month in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. With quarantine-free holidays on offer in the island nation, travellers are once more arriving to enjoy its many diverse destinations. These include Pasikuda on the east coast, Sigiriya in the Cultural Triangle and hill county locales like Nuwara Eliya; bungalows in this mountainous area such as the ‘Safe & Secure’ certified Scottish Planter Glendevon Bungalow provide worry-free stays too.
