In the write-up about Sri Lanka, several places were mentioned, including Galle and the fact that it’s where one can savour new variations of traditional beverages like arrack. Of course, it should be noted that in Galle Sri Lanka, things to do are not relegated to just this. Those staying in traditional properties with luxury villas like Heenatigala Walawwa can explore the historic Dutch Fort as well as visit idyllic Unawatuna Beach, go whale watching in Mirissa and enjoy surfing along the south coast. With allures such as ancient temples, tea plantations amidst misty mountains, wild elephants and more in other areas, this small island looks set to attract even more travellers this year.
