Sri Lanka Opened for All Travellers – Indian Tourists Offered Special Deals Too

Beginning from 1st October 2021, Sri Lanka opened its borders to tourists from around the world including India. A key update was made to arrival protocols whereby those who had received a full COVID-19 vaccination at least two weeks before arrival don’t have to quarantine; such travellers also don’t have to take a PCR test on arrival but must show a negative result of such a test taken within 72 hours of departure to the island.

To encourage Indian tourists to visit, a special “buy one and get one free” deal was also offered by SriLankan Airlines for its India to Colombo flights for bookings up to 31st October 2021. It’s hoped that such moves along with the easing of restrictions will encourage more travellers to Sri Lanka; with safe accommodation also provided be it at hotels in Kandy the likes of Amaya Hills or resorts in Pasikuda by the beach, tourists can look forward to unforgettable holidays here once more.
