Sri Lanka participates in SATTE2020

Showcasing heritage to the world

The South Asia’s Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2020 was held in India from 08-10 January, and this featured a national pavilion for Sri Lanka that was organized by Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau together with Sri Lanka High Commission in New Delhi. Many leading hoteliers and travel agents took part in this event representing the tourism industry of the country and several important elements were included to showcase Sri Lankan heritage and culture to visitors.

One such element was promoting “pure Ceylon Tea” and this attracted the attention of many attendees. Ceylon Tea is known in the world as one of the best tea brands and this has made it be expensive as well. Ceylon Tea is generally planted and produced in the Sri Lankan hill country and if you spend your holidays at any Nuwara Eliya 5-star hotel you can experience the Ceylon tea moments in their freshest forms. The region has many accommodation venues serving tourists such as Galway Heights and they are of world-class quality levels.
