Sri Lanka Promotes Wellness Tourism in the UAE – The new age of wellness tourism

For the first time, Sri Lanka participated in the annual event ‘Arab Health 2019’, held in Dubai. The event is the largest wealth and health exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa region. Six leading companies that excel in the wellness tourism sector from Sri Lanka took part. Together with the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau and Export Development Board. Sri Lanka’s participation played a vital role in promoting the country’s brand of wellness and the forum attracted over 4000 companies from over 160 countries.

With the emergence of every kind of spa hotel in Sri Lanka, the likes of Fortress Resort and Spa, the access to a bigger wellness market is only expanding.
