Sri Lanka Recorded over 100,000 tourist arrivals for three consecutive months – a marked increase over December.

For the third month so far this year, Sri Lanka has recorded over 100,000 tourist arrivals – according to the tourism minister, Harin Fernando. The approximate number stands at 125,495, with the largest sources of arrivals coming from Russia, India, and the UK. This number could be attributed to the fact that there are a host of vacation accommodation options and beach hotels in Sri Lanka at some of the most beautiful destinations for tourists to enjoy.

Seeing an increase from 102,545 and 107,639 visitors in January and February respectively, it was discovered that Germany, France, and Australia were among the top source of arrivals apart from the countries shown in March. Many tourists would predictably be flocking to such properties such as Dickwella Resort & Spa, as evidenced by the huge increase from 91,961 visitors in December 2022 – signalling a recovery from post-COVID numbers.
