Sri Lanka opened its borders to international visitors in January, and this was after a 10-month shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. The officials announced that they would be only allowing 2500 tourists maximum to enter the country per day.
PCR tests are being done regularly for repatriating Sri Lankans and also for the local residents, and this 2500 maximum limit has been declared considering the PCR testing capacities. In addition to the PCR tests done upon arrival, there are several other health and safety measures taken by the authorities to safeguard the conditions. As the country is now open for tourists, beach hotels in Kalutara the likes of Anantara Kalutara Resort can expect to welcome international guests soon.
