Australia has resumed its travel bubble with New Zealand, thereby enabling quarantine-free entry. The initial travel bubble was set-up in October 2020 though was suspended temporarily in January this year after a woman was detected with the South African coronavirus strain. However, things were brought under control and quarantine-free travel from New Zealand to Australia resumed from 31st January 2021.
As per the regulations, arriving travellers don’t have to quarantine on arrival if they have spent 14 days in New Zealand (time at managed isolation doesn’t count) and not been at any locations with COVID-19 outbreaks. New Zealand itself, has been amongst the leading countries in managing and stopping the spread of the pandemic; while its borders remain closed it will be hoped they will soon open. Be it at Wellington resorts or Auckland city hotel options including the likes of Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences, such properties have strict health and hygiene measures offering safe accommodation to travellers.
