During a keynote address at the Third Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific, the president of Sri Lanka stated that various human activities should not harm nature. President Maithripala Sirisena went on to state that it’s human responsibility to implement activities for the betterment of nature.

Sri Lanka has always had a rich and proud agricultural civilization, and the president hopes to share this with the rest of the world. A great example of Sri Lanka’s compassion towards nature is seen through one of the Deniyaya Hotels; which goes by the name Rainforest EcoLodge, which is a beautiful blend of tourism and conservation of nature.
