Sri Lanka to offer live streams from wildlife parks
An innovative solution to revive the tourism industry
The Tourism Promotion Bureau of Sri Lanka has decided to offer live streams from National Wild Parks covering all aspects of wildlife including the bears, elephants, leopards, and exotic birdlife. These live streams will be shown on social media platforms and the entire program will have 8 video sessions of 1 hour each.
SLTPB has taken this novel initiative as a measure to revive the Sri Lankan tourism industry that has been severely affected by the COVID -19 outbreak. Although every luxury resort in Kandy Sri Lanka the likes of Hunas Falls Hotel Kandy and those in other areas are doing relatively well in the domestic tourism sector, the international tourism sector has not yet begun due to cross-border travel restrictions prevailed.
