Sri Lanka to Target top source markets from Western Europe – new prospects for tourism

Sri Lanka was said to be the ideal travel location at the roadshow held in Netherland and Belgium. The island was recognized as a place with rich culture and great geographical landscape that is well suited for hardcore travellers. This was in hope of encouraging those in and around Benelux to visit the beautiful paradise isle.
A representative of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, Ms, Madhubani Perera (Director Marketing of SLTPB) together with other travel industry members were present at both events. Ms Perera carried out a presentation about what Sri Lanka has to offer in the tourism industry. This gave the Dutch counterparts an in-detail view of the country’s promotional activities which grabbed their interest. Taking demand into account, coastal area is quite popular, Hotels in Ahungalla such as luxury hotel Heritance Ahungalla are in plenty. Demand is also picking up in the hill country where several hotels are popping up as well.
