Sri Lanka Tourism Plans to Get Back on Track

Looking to be Included in Travel Corridors

Sri Lanka Tourism has been lobbying to be included in certain travel corridors whereby tourists returning from the island will not be subjected to quarantine. This would be a factor that would encourage travellers to visit the country. Sri Lanka was amongst the many holiday destinations which were severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the closure of borders.

It is hoped that the international airport will soon open and welcome tourists again. On a positive note, as reported by EconomyNext last month, the country has been endorsed by the World Travel & Tourism Council as a place where approved hygiene and safety protocols are being followed. Once tourists do begin to arrive in earnest, the will have much to do; in Sri Lanka, car rental companies the likes of Malkey Rent A Car offer plenty of options for those looking to traverse the island and take in its many wonders.
