The tourism sector in Sri Lanka witnessed a significant boost with almost 200,000 visitor arrivals from India. This comes after several strategies carried out by Sri Lanka tourism that targeted the Indian market.
A significant factor that contributed to this was a networking event that was held on a cruise on the Ganges in Kolkota in July. The event was attended by travel agents and industry leaders from Kolkota, as well as a Sri Lankan delegation that included the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau. The event was held to foster ties between the countries and to promote Sri Lanka’s tourism experiences.
As Sri Lanka continues to improve its tourism and strengthen its appeal, travellers are encouraged to enjoy a relaxing vacation at hotels such as Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort which provides various curated Tangalle experiences and other cultural adventures.
