Sri Lanka Tourism at SATTE 2016 to Attract High – End Indian Tourists

The leading travel and tourism event in the region, South Asia’s Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2016 saw the participation of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau as well. This relatively recently concluded event was hosted at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Opened with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, the Sri Lanka Pavilion was inaugurated by Esala Weerakoon, the country’s High Commissioner for India. At this pavilion, visitors had the chance to get more information on different holiday experiences available in the island including Sri Lanka’s Ramayana trail popular amongst Indian travellers and a special concept dubbed as ‘eight wonderful experiences in eight wonderful days.’ Sri Lanka has seen an increase in Indian tourists who have the choice of everything from budget accommodation to boutique hotels. Sri Lanka features such hotels in the commercial capital like Colombo Courtyard which are amongst the options worth considering.
