Sri Lanka Tourism Showcased at World Travel Market in London: Island Beauty Magnified

The Excel Exhibition Hall in London, UK, is currently hosting the World Travel Market (WTM), the world’s leading trade show for the travel and tourism industry. The event, which began on November 6th and will run until November 8th, highlights and promotes international travel on a global scale. The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) and the Sri Lanka High Commission in London, along with 73 industry partners, actively participated in the event.

With the primary goal of positioning Sri Lanka as a prominent global travel destination, the representation at WTM provided a platform for the Sri Lankan travel industry to engage with international partners, gain a competitive edge, and disseminate information about the country’s offerings, especially its resorts in Trincomalee the likes of Trinco Blu by Cinnamon. The Sri Lanka pavilion, inaugurated by the Duchess of Rutland Her Grace Emma Manners and Minister of Tourism Harin Fernando, featured cultural performances, a Ceylon tea counter, and B2B meetings. The event, attracting over 50,000 visitors, 5,000 exhibitors, and 3,000 journalists annually, solidified Sri Lanka’s presence among leading UK travel entities and social media influencers.
