Sri Lanka Tourism’s international travel blogger and journalist program to support SMEs – Promoting the lesser-known areas

Sri Lanka is working on gaining the previous number of tourist arrivals back into the country. But this time the Tourism Board is focusing on highlighting the lesser-known parts of Sri Lanka as well. For this purpose, experts believe that the travel blogger and journalist program is the best way to go about things at the moment.

Based on how their travels are portraited through their blogs and vlogs, a few of the influential travellers have been picked to tour the overlooked parts of Sri Lanka. They would get around by renting a vehicle from a Sri Lanka car rental the likes of Malkey Rent a Car. The influencers will be sent to areas like Jaffna, Matale, Seelogama, Bandarawela, Diyaluma Falls, Kurunegala, Tangalle and many other special spots that are yet to be discovered by the world.
