Sri Lanka Welcomes Global Travellers – Tourists Enjoy Holidays Once More

Since Sri Lanka lifted its border restrictions on 21st January 2021, the island has seen a steady increase in tourist arrivals. Amongst the aspects drawing travellers here is that there’s no restrictive quarantine. Apart from undergoing frequent testing, tourists must stay at a ‘Safe and Secure’ Level 1 property such as Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort that has been approved by the government; if they test negative for COVID-19 after 14 days, they are free to travel to other parts.

Further positive news came on 18th March 2021 whereby travellers who arrive after two weeks of completing the COVID-19 vaccination need to stay only seven days at ‘Safe and Secure’ Level 1 hotels.
