Sri Lanka Wins “Most Popular Destination Award” for the Second Consecutive Year – SL Sweeps Award at the Guangzhou International Travel Fair

Sri Lanka – a teardrop nation in the Indian Ocean has won the ”Most Popular Destination Award” at the Guangzhou International Travel Fair for the second consecutive year. The fair which took place from the 23rd – 25th of February 2017, saw the participation of top travel agents, travel experts, travel suppliers and bloggers from Sri Lanka and across the world. Sri Lanka being named for this award is one of the highlights of the event and important since it’s a famous travel destination amongst the Chinese. The fair also drew a considerable amount of visitors which helped Sri Lanka gain more exposure. Popular destinations in Sri Lanka such as Sigiriya, Galle and Kandy – which draws a massive crowd annually, have attributed much for the country to be recognized as a famous travel destination.
