With the increase in the growth of the global economy, the demand for luxurious furniture and whatnot made of wood has increased as well on a worldwide scale. Particularly, a greater increase in demand for these items is said to be seen in the coming year. Thus, the Sri Lanka Wood Expo 2019 was held from the 7th to the 9th of September this year at the BMICH.
More than 100 companies participated and set up stalls to showcase their products for the 3-day event. All products related to wood; such as various types of wood (plywood, moulded plywood), WPC, MDF, engineered wood, laminates and veneers were on display. For those planning on attending the event which is scheduled for next September, make sure to reserve a Colombo hotel for your convenience. Also, make sure bookings are made in advance as hotels such as Berjaya Hotel Colombo are easily full at this time of year.
