Christmas in Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan Christmas over the years

Christmas and other holidays were no longer celebrated the same way they had been in the past due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which prevented friends and family from travelling to Sri Lanka for the holidays, prevented citizens from crossing borders, and forced the closure or restriction of many restaurants, hotels, cafes, and other public spaces. However, now the nation is fully open, without any restrictions for tourists and locals alike, reigniting travel.

Many tourists as well as locals are heading both down south to the beach and also to Nuwara Eliya holiday bungalows such as the beautiful Oliphant Boutique Villa to celebrate this holiday in the soothing, chilly climate and Christmas is said to be in full swing once again on this paradise island.
