Sri Lanka’s borders are open for international guests- Explore a paradise nation

Sri Lanka opened its borders for foreign visitors back in January 2021. Since then, arrivals have been increasing gradually, but surely. Every hotel in Dambulla the likes of Heritance Kandalama and similar properties started welcoming foreign guests and getting used to their usual way of life, yet under strict health and safety protocols.

Although COVID 19 cases are arising from various parts of the country, the tourism minister has not yet declared that the borders will be closed again. Both 2019 and 2020 were not so fortunate for the tourism industry of Sri Lanka, firstly due to the Easter attacks, and then the pandemic. The main markets for SL tourism are China, India, Russia, France, UK, the USA, and the UAE and these travellers will soon visit the country if that confidence to travel is instilled in their minds, according to the travel experts.
