Sri Lanka’s tourism recovery is poised for significant growth, aided by a new promotional campaign targeting key markets like China, India, and Germany. The country aims to attract 2.3 million foreign tourists this year, with a goal of 3 million by 2025. A six-month pilot program will offer free 30-day tourist visas to visitors from 35 countries starting October 1.

Renowned for its diverse attractions, including pristine beaches and rich cultural heritage, Sri Lanka appeals to a wide range of travellers. The tourism sector has rebounded with earnings surpassing $1.88 billion in the first seven months of 2023, marking a 73.3% increase year-on-year. As tourism continues to flourish, establishments like Araliya Green Hills, among the best hotels in Nuwara Eliya, stand to benefit, contributing to the nation’s economic recovery and sustainable growth in the tourism industry.
