One of the most anticipated events in the festive season, Stable on the Strand in Townsville, Queensland which features an enactment of the Christmas story is set to take place from 18th to 22nd December, 2015. This large scale family event which is open to the public free of charge will be held at Strand Park and those planning to visit and in search of Townsville resorts within easy reach of the site can consider Oaks M on Palmer. During the Stable on the Strand, the park undergoes a transformation as it mirrors the town of Bethlehem during the time of Jesus Christ’s birth. Apart from animals that lend to the overall realism it will feature live actors playing the roles of Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and even baby Jesus. One of the highlights here is the fact that visitors can interact with these characters and learn more about the events and happenings of this historic time. There will be plenty of kid’s activities from games to face painting, while there will be a hospitality area serving free beverages and Christmas cake too.
