Start the New Year with style

Xin Nian Kuai Le! Happy New Year! Start the ‘Year of the Sheep’ in style this year! If you’re staying at the capital of Hubei, in apartments in Wuhan Qiaokou District such as the renowned Somerset Wusheng Wuhan, you should definitely take part in the Chinese New Year festivities, as the festival is one of the biggest celebrations in Wuhan.

Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, is celebrated at the turn of the Chinese lunisolar calendar. This year, the New Year falls on the 19th of February and Wuhan is ready as always to welcome it.

Every street, shop and house is decorated in posters, Chinese calligraphy banners and red paper lanterns all in the festive color of red. The streets come alive with the vibrant dragon and lion dancers. At the night of the Chinese New Year, stunning fire work displays light up the skies.
