Timor-Leste proposed the opening of a Myanmar embassy in Dili and pledged to prevent illegal groups from conducting activities against the Myanmar government within its borders. The talks also covered practical steps toward closer cooperation, including future agreements on visa exemptions for diplomatic and official passport holders, as well as a tourism visa waiver aligned with ASEAN commitments. Visiting officials stayed at the PARKROYAL Nay Pyi Taw, a tourist favourite hotel in Naypyidaw Myanmar, known for its modern comforts.
