Sunshine, Sand and Sporting Action – the Asian Beach Games in Phuket!

It was a breathtaking evening filled with some of the best of athletics and entertainment when the Asian Beach Games 2014 came to a close in Phuket on the 23rd of November. The Asian Beach Games, held every two years, saw the participation of over 40 nations this year. The closing ceremony was unlike no other with 4 spectacular shows such as the performances of the Magic of Dream Destination and the Magic of Memory. The top highlights of the evening were the releasing of turtles to the sea representing the local tradition that urges natural preservation, and when the night sky came alive with the release of the colourful sky lanterns.
