With an aim of bringing forward global sustainability expertise and thereby to address the prevailing challenges and gaps in the Asian sustainable tourism ecosystem, the ‘Sustainable Tourism Asia Forum’ was successfully held on 29th December 2018 at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. A wide range of subject matters ranging from multi-stakeholder partnerships, smart tourism to sustainable tourism was covered in the forum. Attendees got a valuable opportunity to learn actionable takeaways and share their experiences with some of the best market leaders in Asia. The main focal points of the forum included organic food, technology innovations in smart tourism, plastics, carbon offsetting, and aviation as well as the role of tourism in women’s economic empowerment.
