Commemorating the first anniversary of the Portugal Stopover Program, TAP announced that one of its A330-300 aircraft will begin the flight route between Portugal and North America soon. The 5-day stopover option will also be made available for passengers from September 2017 and expected to increase the tourism in Lisbon and Porto. These long stays do not require additional fares and let the passengers get more out of each flight as TAP has partnered with hotels in Europe, South America and the countries that the stopovers will be at. The cities expect more travellers after September, especially the popular leisure hotels like Tivoli Hotels & Resorts for instance.
