TAT launches ‘Trusted Thailand’ campaign – Reinforcing Chinese Tourist confidence

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched the ‘Trusted Thailand, You Taiguo Yue Wan Yue Kaixin’ campaign to reinforce market confidence and promote safe travel experiences in Thailand for Chinese tourists. The campaign aims to assure Chinese travellers that Thailand is a secure destination while offering a wide range of quality tourism products and services tailored to different travel segments.

TAT, in collaboration with private and public partners, organised a Mega Fam Trip for 60 Chinese key opinion leaders (KOLs) from the 18th to the 28th of May 2023. The KOLs explored evocative travel experiences in various destinations, including Ko Chang, Chiang Mai, Chanthaburi, Hua Hin, Kanchanaburi, Pattaya, Nakhon Ratchasima, Udon Thani,  Khon Kaen, and Nong Khai. The itineraries focused on tourist safety measures and showcased gastronomy tourism, community-based tourism, health and wellness tourism, the China-Lao PDR-Thailand high-speed railway, beach tourism, and other new travel experiences. The campaign aims to strengthen Thailand’s position as the preferred destination for Chinese tourists while bringing in business to many a 5 star Bangkok hotel like the popular Emporium Suites by Chatrium.
