The world gourmet festival which successfully took place for the 16th consecutive year is a prominent festival in the city of Bangkok. The 2015 event was backed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and brought together food experts, chefs and wine makers to celebrate and exchange their expertise in the field. The gourmet festival was held at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, a renowned hotel in the region that features some of the best restaurants Bangkok has in store for ardent travellers. According to the Director International Public Relations Division of TAT, hosting such an event helps promote the beautiful destination as a place to experience world class cuisine. Those who attended the event had the opportunity to meet master chefs and Michelin starred chefs from France, Switzerland, Australia, Hong Kong and Spain. A new feature was added to the gourmet festival where the sake master Keith Norum introduced a session with sake tasting and pairing it with Thai dishes.
