TAT welcomes Air India’s inaugural Delhi-Phuket flight – Thailand expects more Indian

On December 15th, 2023, Air India began operations on the Delhi-Phuket route, offering four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Subsequently, in January 2024, the service escalated to a daily operation.

With a current capacity of 26 flights to Bangkok per week, Air India ensures comprehensive connectivity, including daily nonstop flights from Delhi and Mumbai, along with six weekly flights from Kolkata. The initiation of the new Delhi-Phuket service aims to facilitate convenient air travel between the two cities, catering to both tourism and trade needs.

Additionally, propelled by the visa exemption, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) anticipates a surge in Indian tourists this year. This would also boost sales for any Bangkok hotel in Sukhumvit the likes of Gardina Asoke with more occupants being Indian tourists thanks to increased flights to India.
