The program is a self-organised and local event which brings people together to share a TED-like experience. Featuring both video and live speakers, the event sparks deep discussions and a connection in a small group. In the spirit, of putting forth ideas worth spreading, discussion and connection, the TEDx event is set to take place, on the 11th of May 2019 from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm in Chiang Mai, Thailand. People coming in for the event can find accommodation in hotels in Chiang Mai including the likes of Anantara Chiang Mai Resort easily.
The theme for this event will be ‘’our common future’’ which examines important social and environmental issues in contemporary times. The theme seeks to highlight the importance of finding a sustainable path to developments. The TEDxChiang Mai traces its beginning to a small event which took place in 2001, where over 20 speakers and 3 performers took to the stage to of over an audience of 1000+.
