Thai Beer Company to Buy KFC Restaurants in Fast Food Push – A Tactful Acquisition

The recent updates from the Asian business market reveal that Thai Beverage renowned for Chang beer and SangSom rum has decided to purchase more than 240 existing KFC restaurants located all over Thailand for about 11.3 billion Thai baht. The deal will also allow Thai Beverage to take over stores that are currently under development. Although Western fast-food chains consider the Asian region as a key market for growth, travellers and visitors to Thailand looking for an exotic experience often prefer traditional flavour options. Many travelling away from Bangkok and on the lookout for such traditional experiences might prefer options such as dining at a Hua Hin Thai restaurant including those found at local resorts such as Anantara Hua Hin Resort. The reports further reveal that the Chairman of Thai Beverage, Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi has decided to take over the restaurants in a move to incorporate more diversity into the company’s operations with the objective of generating more revenue through the sale of non-alcoholic beverages by the year 2020.
