Thailand Exceeds Tourism Target of Q1 – Positive Signs for Rest of the Year

Providing the local tourism industry with a significant boost, Thailand exceeded its arrival target for tourists in the first quarter of 2023. This was highlighted on 29th March 2023 on the Reuters news website; it went on to reveal that while the country was initially targeting six million arrivals from January to March this year, it had recorded 6.15 million visitors as confirmed by Traisuree Taisaranakul, a government spokesperson.

This bodes well for the rest of the year as Thailand aims on welcoming 30 million tourists by the end of 2023 and who are expected to spend around $43.74 billion (1.5 trillion baht). Travelers are once again heading to popular tourist destinations including the capital where there’s much to experience at the best 5-star hotels in Bangkok which offer safe accommodation too. These include properties like Pathumwan Princess Hotel from where you can enjoy what the city has to offer be it sightseeing, shopping, dining, business, or nightlife.
