As of the 1st of June 2022, Thailand has relaxed its COVID-19 travel rules. Those coming into the country will no longer have to go through tedious procedures to enter the country. Travellers will have to provide passport and vaccination details for travel. Furthermore, mandatory travel insurance of about USD 10,000 is necessary for an instance where the traveller might get infected with COVID-19.
Apart from the requirements mentioned above, fully vaccinated travellers must undergo screening on arrival and then be free to enter the country. Travellers who are half vaccinated or not vaccinated at all will have to submit a negative PCR within 72 hours of travel via the Thailand Pass System. Once everything is clear these travellers can enter the country as well. It is always best to book a Koh Samui resort the likes of Santiburi Koh Samui first.
