Thailand Holds Pride Celebrations with Events Throughout June – Celebrating diversity hand in hand!

Thailand celebrated pride month with its LGBTG community from the 3rd to the 24th of June in several parts of Bangkok. The celebrations included gatherings, parades, and marches from Central Khonkaen to Central Udon, while other parts of the country held small celebrations. Participants demonstrated the rights of the LGBTQ community, their issues, and political reforms in the town squares and shopping malls.

The march on June 4th started close to iconic accommodation providers like Pathumwan Princess Hotel and attracted close to 100,000 people. Police assisted in monitoring and ensuring the security of the public events, while there were a few road closures and traffic delays in the area. Those who stayed in the city during this time had the chance to witness these various events apart from visiting the top Bangkok tourist attractions as well.
