Thailand is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the word and sadly it is also a destination that is subjected to more pollution due to the high number of tourist footfall. The country being concerned about this crisis has brought in many initiatives to protect the environment while increasing the quality of the tourism. The country expects to promote green tourism by reducing the usage of plastic products and adapting to more natural-made materials. The government has also launched several beaches cleaning campaigns and many other events that encourage environmentalists and the general public to participate. Thai resort properties the likes of Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel which is a hotel in Silom Bangkok are also experimenting and adapting innovative ways to be more environmentally friendly.
