After briefly closing its borders in December last year, Thailand once more welcomed international tourists from 1st February 2022, offering quarantine-free entry under its Test & Go scheme for those fully vaccinated. Since then, the country has been updating its entry guidelines making it easier for tourists to enjoy visits here. For example, from 1st April 2022, travellers were no longer required to show proof of a negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of leaving for Thailand.
With the restarting of the Test & Go scheme, holidays at popular destinations can once more be enjoyed including Phi Phi Island; resort options here that are SHA Plus+ certified such as SAii Phi Phi Island Village also offer special Test & Go packages and have strict hygiene and sanitisation measures in place to ensure safe stays. It will be hoped that arrival numbers will continue to increase in Thailand in the months to come as the tourism industry looks to get back on track.
