Thailand Puts Full Stop to Stringent Covid Travel Restrictions – A Welcoming Change for Globe Trotters

The Tourism Authority of Thailand recently announced a complete easing of Covid travel restrictions. Some of the notable changes include dispelling the mask mandate and the colour code system that restricted gatherings, dining and travel activities. Under the measure, travellers to Thailand are only required to show one Covid related document when entering the country; a Covid-19 vaccination certificate or a negative PCR or professionally administered antigen test.

Travellers arriving in the country are also no longer required to apply for a Thailand pass by submitting proof of their vaccination, medical insurance and other documents. With the restrictions being lifted, Thailand is witnessing a rapid upsurge of tourist arrivals with close to 10,000 new searches on websites for Thailand destinations. With Thailand’s tourism blossoming at full speed even prior to the restrictions being lifted, it is anticipated that this recent announcement will cause the momentum to continue. For an instance, travellers on the lookout for an all-inclusive resort experience can check out a Koh Samui resort the likes of Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort, one of the most coveted abodes of the city.
