Thailand Records Over 10 Million Arrivals in 2022 – Increase in Visitors Expected in 2023

A significant milestone for the Thai tourism industry was celebrated last December as the country reached its projected goal of 10 million visitors for 2022. This note-worthy feat took place on 10th December and was marked by the “Amazing Thailand 10 Million Celebrations” at key airports and border checkpoints across the country. It capped off a remarkable recovery of tourism in Thailand that has been slowly but steadily getting back on track following several initiatives and the full reopening of international tourism on 1st October 2022.

The prospects for this year are even better and the goal for 2023 has been set for more than double with approximately 23 million visitors. This target was given a boost with the arrival of tourists from China last month for the first time since the pandemic with more expected during the year. Such travellers have much to look forward to in diverse destinations including Khon Kaen; hotel offers with great savings and exclusive benefits can be found at properties here like Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre which cater to business and leisure and provide safe stays too.
