Thailand Reopened for Tourists

Quarantine-Free Entry for Those Fully Vaccinated

After having briefly reopened its borders last year, Thailand had to temporarily close them again in December 2021 due to the Omicron variant of COVID-19 spreading globally. However, it once again reopened its borders and relaunched the Test & Go programme from 1st February this year offering quarantine-free entry to fully vaccinated tourists from all nations. To ensure the safety and health of citizens as well as visitors, several new protocols were announced too.

Apart from being fully vaccinated, those arriving as part of the Test & Go programme must have made reservations for the first and fifth days at an SHA Extra+, AHQ, OQ or AQ hotel. They will have to submit to an RT-PCR test on day one and five too including for stays in the capital, Bangkok; 5-star hotel options that are SHA Extra Plus certified such as Emporium Suites by Chatrium are amongst the available accommodation providers which also have special Test & Go day one and day five packages.
