Thailand Sees Influx of Chinese Tourists – Flights from China Also Increased

Following China’s decision to ease outbound travel restrictions, Thailand has seen a significant increase in Chinese tourists, providing the local tourism industry with an added boost. While the country had previously targeted welcoming five to six million travellers from China this year, due to the influx of arrivals, it upgraded its goal to seven to eight million. To attract more visitors, the “Amazing Thailand, Amazing New Chapters Roadshow to China 2023” was also held in Shanghai in March 2023.
