With a new record of 33 million visitors, Thailand is now on its way to surpass the targeted tourism revenue of US$ 50 billion and 34 million arrivals. According to the Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports, Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, a total of 26.9 million people visited the country between 1st January and 11th October; this was a 5.6% increase over the numbers recorded the previous year during the same time frame. Thailand has steadily expanded its appeal to global travellers for business, pleasure and hosting MICE events, be it an island resort or in the bustling capital of Bangkok city hotels the likes of AVANI Atrium Bangkok.
