Thailand Targets 36 Million Arrivals by Year’s End – Thai Tourism Continues to Soar

Thailand’s tourism sector is experiencing a remarkable resurgence, with visitors from around the globe flocking to its shores. As a result, the country has set an ambitious target of reaching 36 million foreign arrivals by the end of 2024.

Between January and August this year, the Tourism Authority of Thailand welcomed more than 23 million international visitors. This impressive figure is a testament to the nation’s growing appeal as a travel destination and many more tourists are expected in the coming months. One of the key factors leading to this surge in visitors is that in July, Thailand broadened its visa exemption list, allowing citizens from 93 countries to enter without a visa for up to 60 days. This move, coupled with festive events and an increase in international flights, has significantly contributed to the influx of tourists.

Among the most popular destinations for these travellers is the capital, Bangkok, which offers a diverse range of attractions for both leisure and business. The city also features ideal accommodation options including Somerset Maison Asoke Bangkok in the heart of Sukhumvit’s Central Business District. At such properties, you can stay at a modern serviced apartment in Bangkok Sukhumvit and experience the many allures of the capital from sightseeing and shopping to dining and nightlife.
