Although Thailand started its discussions to introduce a tourist fee for international arrivals back in 2016, they did not implement it until now due to various reasons. However, they will soon launch this initiative, as per the reports and this will positively impact the tourism industry of Thailand.
While Khon Kaen meeting venues the likes of Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre are immensely popular among the business fraternity, the destination also offers several attractions for solo, family, and honeymoon travellers alike. The purpose of implementing this new fee is to arrange an insurance fund for international travellers and also to improve the status of the infrastructure and attractions of the country. According to the reports, this fee will not exceed 10 USD by any means.
