To encourage tourists to visit Thailand again, the Thai Government decided to launch the Special Tourist Visa (STV) program through which travellers can come to Thailand and stay for up to 270 days. The 45-day tourist visa program was already in place, and the STV program was launched thereafter. In addition to the family holidaymakers, business travellers too travelled to Thailand and stayed at many a business hotel in Bangkok the likes of Pathumwan Princess Hotel under these special travel plans.
However, some COVID cases have been reported in Thailand recently creating the fear of a possible second wave of the pandemic outbreak. According to the Ministry of Tourism, everything is under control and the country will remain open to accept international tourists.
