Thailand Tourism Booming After Easing COVID-19 Restrictions – Good Times are Ahead

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced that masks will no longer be required in Thailand, along with the colour-code system which places restrictions on travellers. As of July 1st, showing the vaccination certificate or a negative PCR/Antigen test was enough to enter the country. With eased restrictions coming into play, tourism on the island is booming, and more travellers seem to be booking their serviced apartments in Bangkok for the season. Popular accommodation options such as Chatrium Residence Riverside Bangkok are already experiencing a surge in bookings for the upcoming months.

A 20% rise in arrivals at the Phuket airport was experienced right after the restrictions were further released. Thailand’s approach has positively affected the country’s economy by generating more revenue through its tourism industry and improving the livelihood of the locals who largely depend on tourists to run their businesses.
