The tourist industry in Thailand amounts to 12% of the of the country’s income. In a recent press release, the ministry stated that Thailand has had 3.5 million tourist arrivals in the country last month. Tourism has certainly pushed the economy forward with its success and the country expects a whopping 37.6 million tourists this year. Tourist are drawn to Thailand due to its natural beauty and many places available for accommodation, from luxury hotels to a fancy resort. Hua Hin is increasing in popularity with hotels like AVANI Hua Hin Resort & Villas and the many attractions close by.
Despite the benefits this booming industry has brought forth, the government is having difficulty in maintaining the environment due to the strain from tourism. The demand caused from the skyrocketing rates of tourism calls for a lift on amenities in the current airport to better satisfy the needs of visitors.
